BBB Educational Foundation Publishes 2008 Charitable 
Wise Giving Guide 

[January 08, 2008] Columbus, OH –Congratulations to the charities that have joined the hundreds that have taken the time to have their organization reviewed in relationship with the BBB’s Wise giving Guide’s standards of accountability. This will no doubt advance the public support of philanthropy in our communities.

If a favorite charity of yours is not listed or is not disclosing information, make a point of asking them why and we will make every effort to get them updated online and into the next Wise Giving Guide printed publication.

As a donor, you need to be aware that the charities that have taken this step to be evaluated have done so for you- the donor. Their interest in taking the time is so that you can have the data necessary before you make the commitment of support to a particular organization.

Please also remember that you can go to bbb.org and check the current full wise giving report on a charity. In the time between guides being published, we just may have received information enabling us to conduct a full evaluation.
